Composition & Songwriting Workshop: AIM Make Music Fest
November 12, 2022 @ 9:30 am - 5:00 pm
The composers and songwriters of tomorrow have incredible career opportunities in the 21st century music industry. Want to join them? Come along for a fun day “on the tools” at AIM where you will be mentored in writing, rehearsing, and recording a classical film score or bringing your own original song to life!
Our Composition and Songwriting workshops are an invaluable opportunity to get expert advice from our industry veteran lecturers on your own music OR a meaningful introduction to the world of film sound. Choose the workshop that’s right for you!
This workshop is a part of Make Music Fest, AIM’s future student festival! Make Music Fest is open to students who have applied to study in our first intake of 2023. Browse our courses here or apply now here.
Composers Workshop:
Are you curious about composing for film and television? Under the guidance of accomplished lecturer Dr. Mark Oliveiro, you will be tasked with writing a short film score. You will then record your original works with our talented classical students! This is an amazing chance to get a sense of what working as a composer is really like. If you’re keen on writing music for film, this is an essential experience.
Songwriters Workshop:
Do you have a song you’d love to take to the next level? Join AIM lecturer Simone East in a songwriting masterclass. You will workshop your original tune which you will then perform LIVE at AIM Sydney’s incredible performance space, The Amphitheatre. This is a great one for anyone looking to learn more about the life of a songwriter and lift their game, musically.
Register now to be a part of this special day!
