Intro Class :: Mixing Basics with Kia Shavon

Join Kia Shavon for a free class exploring the fundamental concepts behind mixing recorded music, presented in partnership with PreSonus.

Join Kia Shavon for an introduction to mixing music and recorded sound using a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). This beginner-friendly class will provide students with an introduction to the basic concepts of mixing, like EQ, compression, reverb, automation, and more. In the second half of the class, Kia will provide a live hands on mixing demonstration, followed by Q+A.

Omni Intro Classes are FREE and open to all genders. All participants will receive 30% off Studio One Artist, Studio One Professional, or an annual membership in PreSonus Sphere.

About the teacher:

Kia “The Mix Artist” Shavon is an NYC based audio engineer with over 10 years of recording and mixing experience. Throughout her career, she’s mixed over 1,000 songs while working with hundreds of artists worldwide (Safaree, Lil’ Pump, Slick Rick, Foxy Brown, Lil’ Cease, NBA Entertainment, NFL Network, to name a few). Kia holds a Bachelor of Science in Music Engineering Technology from Hampton University.
