Interactive Sonification is the specialized research topic concerned with the use of sound to portray data, but where there is a person at the heart of an interactive control loop. The main theme of ISon 2022 is Psychoacoustics in the Loop and will highlight how these two fields of research can benefit from one another.

This workshop encourages submissions for oral or poster presentations that deal with:
– Interactive Sonifications that boost creativity
– Interactive Sonifications for special needs
– Interactive Sonifications for inclusion
– Interfaces between humans and auditory displays
– Tightly closed multimodal interaction loops and their perception
– Signal and audio processing algorithms for audio synthesis
– Perceptual Evaluation of Sonification Designs
– and other topics as listed on the ISon 2022 website.
