Finding your path in the music industry can be difficult with many options and avenues to go on. Even with similar titles, two roles could encompass two completely different niches. The main ways to learn more about roles are from those who already exists within these spaces. This is where the third edition of Finessed’s career fair comes in!

This event features a panel of industry professionals who will discuss the different roles they hold, their journey and expertise, and advice for rising professionals and artists. Attendees will be able to engage with the panelists and community members in breakout rooms to tailor the career fair to their own journey!

Briana Boyd is an artist relations manager for a non-profit called HeadCount. HeadCount registers voters at concerts, festivals, and community events across the country. Briana works to bring new, fresh, diverse talent to the organization. During her time at HeadCount she secured touring opportunities with artists like Aminé, Raveena, Princess Nokia, Faye Webster, and more. When not working for HeadCount, Briana also freelances as a VIP manager & assistant helping run VIP programs for artists like BTS, Jay-Z, Doja Cat, and more.

Briana has always had a passion for artist management & development. In addition to her role at HeadCount, Briana also manages a band and hopes to build out a full roster in the coming years. She’s passionate about mentorship and supporting the next generation of music industry professionals. When not working, Briana enjoys crafting (macrame, weaving), traveling, and watching terrible reality competition shows.

Kayvan Daragheh is currently the Artist Relations Director @ Genius. He is a talent relations specialist with 4+ years in music journalism and over 250M views to content pieces he has worked on directly. He also has experience in live touring (CAA), artist management (Ashoka, Isaac Zale), and music production. Kayvan’s work at Genius has included everything from booking/pitching/interviewing talent for all of Genius original core video series + live events, booking talent for Genius’s branded content campaigns (past content campaigns have been with brands like Acura, HP, Burberry, Puma, HBO, Reebok, Tik Tok, and more), to signing artists as an A&R. Outside of his work at Genius Kayvan also curates playlists on Spotify and Audiomack, reviews independent artists music on Twitch, and maintains a discord server of over 2,600 emerging artists, producers, and music fans.

Kayvan is passionate about community, diversity, and inclusion, helping tell artists stories accurately and candidly, and creating high quality engaging content.

Mike’s multifaceted roles as both a freelance label consultant and Director of Artist Relations at Chartmetric have allowed him to develop and execute strategic digital campaigns for both major and independent clients.

Now a best-selling author as well as a public speaker, Mike has shared his insights on every stage, from guest starring on numerous podcasts and appearing live on CNBC to speaking at the music industry’s largest conferences including SXSW, NAMM and ADE.

As an educator, author, speaker, executive and leader, Mike’s work has gained him recognition among his peers as the go-to authority on the forefront of the digital music world.

Kitkat Fisher is a rising Filipina-American music industry executive. Her experiences in cultivating artists’ unique branding through PR and social media management, planning 3 tours, and managing teams pushed by womxn of color, she fulfills her goal of shifting the music industry to be more willful, open-minded, empowering, and inclusive. Joining Finessed Media in January 2021, Kitkat is now General Manager and shares her knowledge of the music industry to mentor the Finessed Media team of 16, coordinate weekly educational events, progress artists’ visions, and create a global network of artists and music industry professionals!

Nick Lee McCauley is a Fall 2019 graduate of American University, with a B.S. in International Business and Business Entertainment. Given his talents as an effective leader, strategic communicator, and charismatic champion for social activism, he was awarded the Presidential Letter of Commendation, signed by Barack Obama, for his community service efforts in the city of Hamtramck, MI.

Nick has also received scholarly honors from various organizations, including the ExecutiveLeadership Council (ELC), for his proposals on broadening diversity and inclusion efforts in the corporate workspace. Having worked at a variety of reputable broadcasts, including ‘CBS News’, ‘The Daily Show with Trevor Noah’, and ABC’s ‘The Tamron Hall Show’, Nick has continuously combined his passion for social activism with his knowledge of journalistic media production to mitigate social injustice and bridge the knowledge gap.

In 2020, he founded ‘The Cultural Reset’ (TCR), as a means to bring the mission of diversity and inclusion to the entertainment space. Nick is currently based in Los Angeles, California where he works full-time at the William Morris-Endeavor agency as an assistant in the Talent Department. In his free time, Nick enjoys speaking, singing, acting, writing and watching his all-time favorite TV series: Penny Dreadful.

Relvyn Lopez is a Dallas-born and LA-based digital marketing professional in the music industry. He received his Bachelors in Strategic Communication from the University of North Texas. Relvyn specializes in content creation, fan engagement, and digital strategy. Noteworthy freelance clients of his include Grass Fed Music, Sabrina Claudio’s management team, Artistry Records, Saweetie’s previous management team, and the Billboard Music Awards. Relvyn currently works at Right Hand Co., an artist management company, with a star-studded roster including Khalid, Sinéad Harnett, and Marzz, supporting all things digital and creative.

Allison Hazel is an NYC-based writer, blogger, and music journalist. Allison got her start in the industry as a publicity intern for UMG. With a foundation in public relations, she transitioned to journalism.

Currently, Allison is a Digital Content Producer at Audacy. Her additional bylines include Global Grind, The Source, Billboard, Essence, and more.
