Okay so you’e got your song written, music produced, recorded your songs and have everything together when it comes to your craft. So what’s next for you? It’s time to get a manager. Often times independent artists don’t know where to start when it comes to finding the manager that is right for them and they don’t know where to start to begin researching the matter. It is crucial to you rmusic career to find a manager that is compatible with you on all levels.

That’s why this Saturday, February 12th, we’ll be joined by Anh Vu, Shelby Chargin, and Christian McCurdy, experts on managing artists in the music industry.

We’ll be discussing how artists can go about finding a manager, the role of management, what are artist can do to prepare for management and more!

LISTENING SESSION

The event will be concluded with our weekly listening session. 6-8 artists will have a chance to play their music in front of a live audience and will receive constructive criticism from our speakers.

To be considered for music play in the listening session, artists must purchase a SUBMISSION REVIEW ticket and submit one song LINK (preferably Spotify) by Friday 2/11 at 9pm ET with subject line “SATURDAY SUBMISSION” to info@finessed.media.

Our team will screen your music for relevancy to audience, quality, and how beneficial the feedback will be. If your submission is not accepted, you will receive a full refund. Submissions that are accepted will have 1:30 to 2 min of their song played in front of the audience.

Must be a Finessed Media VIP Career Development member or purchase a SUBMISSION REVIEW ticket for consideration.

Anh Vu is a music industry professional with diverse experience at leading companies in music, entertainment, and sports industries. She has a background in operations, marketing, strategy, and project management and a deep commitment to supporting artists and the creative community. Her past roles includes working on recording royalties operations and and copyright infringement during her time at UMG, brand partnerships and digital marketing at CAA. Now she’s focused on building and executing artist strategies through management, development, branding, creative and content strategy, and live event production.

The founder of Legion, Christian McCurdy, is a multi-faceted executive known for his role in developing and breaking talent particularly in A&R and management. His focus on putting together quality songs landed him A&R positions with labels such as Atlantic Records and LVRN Records . Through managing such producers, songwriters, and artists as Nija Charles, Ant Clemons, and Jack Rochon, he has been instrumental in creating numerous hit records for such artists as Drake, Ariana Grande, Chris Brown, Kanye West, Meek Mill, Cardi B, Camila Cabello and many more.

Shelby Chargin grew up in Ohio where she first found her passion for music by attending local shows in and around Cleveland. Growing a knack for blogging and writing regularly on MySpace in 2007, she began interviewing bands for several websites and MySpace pages. In 2011, she took her love of writing to Arizona State University to study English with a concentration on Creative Non-Fiction and Rhetoric. While at Arizona State, Shelby also received her minor in Music Theory. Using this combination of knowledge, she began her journey into the world of entertainment.
