Angela Lee is the founder for Australia based company The Academy. With a passion for business, technology and entertainment coupled with her business acumen developed through her years of working in financial institutions. She saw the gap in the supply chain and platform for talents in Australia to pursue a career in Asia. The Academy’s flagship programme, Kpop Bootcamp, has been well-received by Kpop trainee hopefuls and those who want to experience the life of a Kpop trainee. In 2019, Angela worked with Global K Center to organize the biggest Kpop Bootcamp in the company’s history with 100 trainees flying in from all over Australia and Singapore to Seoul for a 10 days bootcamp at the famous Produce 101 filming site.

Due to Covid, Kpop bootcamp had to be put on hold and Angela Lee decided to devote her time in the setting up of a Kpop dance programme in Sydney, with the first dance class kicked off in October 2020. Seeing the need to provide a higher recognition to Kpop as a dance genre, Angela decided to develop a systematic Kpop dance programme for Sydney studio with certification from International Certification of Dance Studies.
