SUMMARY:Musical Togetherness Symposium (MTS-22)
DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce that the Musical Togetherness Symposium will be held at the mdw—University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna\, Austria on 13—15 July 2022. This symposium will be a unique opportunity for researchers from different disciplines to exchange ideas about what it means to be “together” in music and how togetherness emerges during different varieties of musical interaction. The symposium is organized as part of the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) project “Achieving Togetherness in Music Ensembles”\, led by Laura Bishop and Werner Goebl. The symposium will include spoken presentations\, poster presentations\, demonstrations\, and a two-part workshop on methods for capture and analysis of ensemble interaction. We are planning for a hybrid format conference. We welcome submissions on topics related to ensemble performance and appreciation\, including but not limited to: – Ensemble performance and perception – Interpersonal dynamics – Bodily interactions – Performer-audience interaction – Teacher-student interaction – Temporal synchronization – (Non)-verbal communication – Methods for studying togetherness Host(s): Austrian Science Fund (FWF) project “Achieving Togetherness in Music Ensembles” Website: https://mdw.ac.at/togetherness/mt-symposium/ Submissions Due: Feb 20\, 2022

SUMMARY:Music and Eye-Tracking Conference (musicET)
DESCRIPTION:After the success of the first meeting in 2017\, and the corona-based cancellation of the planned conference in 2020\, we would again liketo invite researchers at the intersection of music research\, neuroscience\, and psychology\, with the interest of using eye-tracking (measuring saccadic\, pupil\, or blinking activity) to yield insights about music processing\, performance\, and engagement. Additionally\, we invite related basic auditory research and studies on visual-auditory interactions. Research applying eye-tracking in combination with other methods (e.g.\, motion tracking\, EEG\, etc.) is also very welcome. Our keynote speaker will be AdrianaZekveld. SUMMARY:3rd Virtual Conference on Computational Audiology (VCCA2022)
DESCRIPTION:The conference format will be similar to previous years. Internationally renowned scientists will present their proceedings in research onthe multiple aspects of the application of computational approaches to audiological diagnostics\, intervention\, and rehabilitation. As in the previous editions\, we will organize a competition for young scientists for the best talk\, and a competition for the best video pitches. We continue to strive to be the platform where young talents\, innovators\, clinicians\, and seasoned experts share ideas\, have opportunities to network\, and get inspired. The topics include: – Big data and AI in audiology and hearinghealthcare – Computational approaches to improving hearing devices and auditory implants – Data-based and model-based investigations into hearingloss – Hearing diagnostics and rehabilitation – e-Audiology and e-Research (remote hearing healthcare and virtual audiological care and interventions) We are happy to announce a special session on predictive coding\, organized by Bernhard Englitz\, Emma Holmes and Floris de Lange\, which will cover physiological\, theoretical and cognitive aspects of predictive coding.
