She has worked on projects ranging from Howard Wiley’s 2nd Line\, Afro-Cuban jazz\, Whitney Houston\, and MC Hammer\, to soundtracks for independent films and TV postwork on ad campaigns such as Levi’s and Taco Bell. Within the Recording Academy leadership\, Mary Ann served on the National Board of Trustees and led the San Francisco Board as Chapter President. As an educator\, Mary Ann taught studio recording\, production\, entertainment business\, and audio post-production at Expression College and San Francisco State University. She especially enjoys working with emerging artists and engineers and the energy they bring to the evolving field of music. Mary Ann also grew up playing classical violin and for many years\, has participated in Traditional Mexican Son and classical African music ensembles. She holds a BA in Music from the University of California\, Berkeley\, and a Masters in Education from the University of San Francisco.

DESCRIPTION:AIM’s new school holiday workshop is designed for high school students interested in exploring everything to do with performance!\n\n\nPERFORMANCE MASTERCLASS SCHOOL HOLIDAY WORKSHOP \nAIM’s new school holiday workshop is designed for high school students interested in music performance. Created for students in Years 9-12\, the workshops provide incredible opportunities to experience playing and performing music\, mentored by AIM’s own accomplished musicians and educators.  \nLearn\, practice and perform contemporary and classic pop\, rock and soul tunes\, under the expertise of Australia’s leading music mentors.  \nOver 2 days students will work with AIM alumni\, professional session guitarist\, award winning producer\, mixer\, songwriter and sound engineer Stephen Zrnic  to expand their performance skills in a collaborative and inspiring environment. They will workshop communication in an ensemble\, chart reading\, rhythm\, pitch\, dynamic\, improvisation\, stylistic interpretation and performance. Under his guidance they will use these new rehearsal and performance techniques to create a small set of diverse songs in collaboration with other students in the class to a present in a performance for family and friends at the end of the day.  \nMonday 16th to Tuesday 17th January 10am to 4pm \nPerformance for family and friends commences at 4pm on Tuesday.
